Divide the total peptide amount in the vial by the volume of solution you add to get the concentration (e.g. 10 mg in 2 mL = 5 mg/mL). Divide your target amount per dose by that concentration to get the volume to draw, then multiply by 100 to read it on a U-100 insulin syringe.

Bacteriostatic water (or a reconstitution solution containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the diluent added to a lyophilized peptide to bring it into solution. The volume you add sets the final concentration.

How many units on an insulin syringe is my dose?

On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units equal 1 mL. Multiply your draw volume in mL by 100: a 0.05 mL draw is 5 units.
